I'm looking at an un launched UFO 34 hull. It's an unfinished self build project. What is concerning me is that the keel appears to be a separate moulding that has been attached to the body of the hull. Internally the fibre mat appears to be continuous so I would imagine that this is from when Colvic moulded her. I thought that the hull was moulded as one piece in a split (along the centre line) mould.

Do you know what a bare hull should look like around the keel / hull joint ?
Were the keels moulded separately and then included in the hull mould ? Is this indicative of serious damage or to be expected ?

Old sails for sale

Last year we changed the genoa furling system. Now our old genoas will not fit the luff groove. As a result we are selling our old genoas on eBay (www.eBay.co.uk). The first is listed as "Genoa sail by Butler Verner from 34 foot yacht" If you are interested have a look at the listing, but note that this is an old sail complete with stains and repairs.

Osmosis query from Luc Bool

Hello Renegaders and congratulations on your 30th birthday. Hope for a long and fit life. That is the reason for this comment as well...Today I found out that our Anda, born in '75, has osmosis... I was wondering what other experiences there are among other ufo's with this problem. Did anyone have a treatment?
