Hi Erik,
I have just read your article in PBO, but was not able to find the extra photos on the PBO website. Yes, the tide certainly can run fast at the mouth of the Deben. Renegade used to have a mooring jut near where you ran into trouble. We too had a spot of bother there. No bones broken fortunately, but we lost our no claims discount.
