Kerry Maid enlists

Phil Hamerton and Alison Rennie's Kerry Maid is currently at Troon on The Firth of Clyde and shortly to return to Oban. Phil reports that their regular cruising ground is the West Coast of Scotland; where better?
The Renegaders have an enduring love for the west coast and every year when we discuss our cruising plans, there are votes in favour of a return to Scotland. Renegade was last there in 1999 and is booked to return in 2008, but it can be a long slog up the east coast from our home port of Ipswich. What about a 2008 UFO 34 rally in Oban, Tobermory or somewhere else on the west coast, Phil?

EUPHO's new owner wants to trace a leak

Hi there my name is Roy Sampson. I have just bought Eupho from Greg Richards. Perhaps you could register me. I'm moving her to the Solent.
Have you any experience of the sea cocks leaking or the stern gland. I'm trying to trace a small leak into the bilges.
Regards,
Roy

News from Not Negotiable

Hi Adrian

Hope you and UFO and going well and plenty of time to sail. Have just bought a new set of sails for Not Negotiable and starting to do a bit more racing with the hope of some more off shore races toward the end of the year in keeping with her past.

Feel free to add my email address to the contacts list site if anybody is passing through the area.

Regards

John

UFO 34 for sale. Formerly Sandettie 2

Good day to you!

My UFO 34 is still for sale. Decided to take things out of the hands of brokers = Europ Yachting = at Marseille.

The boat is still on land at Port St Louis du Rhone, and at the moment I am working hard to get her in an as good as possible condition again in order to sell her = ready to sail =.

Price idea about 26.000 Euros.

Best regards,

captain Willem J. de Mik

Eupho for sale

I'm delighted you've added me to your website. I've been on the website before and have meant for sometime to get myself added. Thanks for taking the initiative - it's a great idea. By the way, "Eupho" is moored at Watchet Harbour Marina in West Somerset. I've had many great sailing adventures in her including the Hebrides and Ireland. I'm planning on going back to Australia next year and can't take her with me (although I'd certainly buy another UFO 34) so if you know anyone in the market for a UFO 34 I can do a great deal on her.

Kind Regards,
Greg Richards

Mel's looking for a UFO 34

I am looking for help and information and wondered if you could help.. I am currently looking to buy a yacht and saw Ackray at Hartlepool.. I am now interested in Ufo 34 to buy..

Information I am looking for is:

Do you know of anymore for sale , Ackray is expensive and I need others to compare.. To see why its so special.

Is there any difference with the Hazelwood built ones ?

Do UFOs sail ok if you fit them with furling headsail..

And any where else I can get information about UFO and what to look for when buying one .

Good and bad as to what to look for when buying.

I tried to get on the Renegade blog but don't understand it yet ... will get there in the end ..

Thanks ...Mel Tomlinson
